Vermont Public Radio broadcasts on 8 stations that serve Vermont and the surrounding region. Thirteen low-power, local translators* provide additonal coverage.
VPR, the news and cultural programming service, is available throughout the state.
VPR Classical, our 24-hour classical music network continues to expand across the listening region. The latest Radio Flier provides an update on VPR Classical, including new frequencies in Island Pond and Shelburne, and plans for a full-power Middlebury transmitter at 90.1 FM in 2009. What's a Translator?
Translators are smaller, low-power frequencies designed to pick up radio signals from existing transmitters and extend them.
Translators provide better signals in small, concentrated areas that have had no-or weak - reception.
