Maple Vodka Production

Somewhere up near St. Johnsbury, tucked into the hillside in the forest between Barnett and Passumpsi is a place called Vermont Spirits. For a decade, the company has been making small batches of ultra premium vodka out of maple sap. Recently VPR's Jane Lindholm visited their off-the-grid micro-distillery to find out just how this unique drink is made. Here are some photographs from her visit.

Vermont Spirits makes two maple vodkas and the Vermont White: a vodka made from cow's milk sugar.
