Aerial Photographs Of Lake Champlain Flooding

Water levels on Lake Champlain are falling slowly, but remain at record high levels. At the U.S. Geological Survey gauge in Burlington the lake is three feet above flood stage. The National Weather Service says Lake Champlain drains slowly, so it could remain above flood stage for several weeks.

Last week, Times-Argus photographer Stefan Hard captured some dramatic aerial photographs of flooding along the lake, showing shots of high water surrounding Interstate 89, one-way traffic splashing through water, and flooded farmland in Burlington.
