An environmental group says warm water released by Vermont Yankee hurts fish in the Connecticut River. So it's asked the Agency of Natural Resources to set tighter temperature limits to protect water quality.
An environmental group says the state has failed to crack down on water pollution from large farms and a sewage treatment plant. The Conservation Law Foundation says that since the state isn't doing the job, the federal government should take over the clean water permit program.
The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation says applications for 2010 Watershed Grants are due by Dec. 4.
