Vermont Public Radio: invasive plant
This is the time of year when road crews mow along the state highways. Timing is critical because at least a dozen invasive species grow along the roads.
Green Mountain National Forest biologists have been studying how to control and eradicate invasive plants.
Scientists have confirmed that a non-native plant, called variable-leaved watermilfoil, is growing in the southern end of Missisquoi Bay, in Lake Champlain.
