Volunteering at VPR gives you the opportunity to meet on-air personalities, behind the scenes staffers and other VPR supporters like yourself. You'll get to see the state of the art facilities including the on-air studio and the editing studios here at the Colchester station. Volunteers come from all over the listening area. Some are college students completing community service requirements for graduation, others are retired or active professionals. All are VPR listeners.

If you would like to join the volunteer community, please take a look at the following job descriptions and let us know which positions sound appealing.

• Phone Volunteer - answer phones and input pledge information during one or all of VPR's three annual on-air membership drives. Shifts scheduled according to your availability, usually for 3-4 hours at a time. Computer skills necessary! A training session will be held before the drive starts.
• Floor Manager - help track totals during on-air membership drives. Shifts are 3-4 hours - morning, afternoon or evening. Ability to work with numbers in a sometimes fast paced environment very helpful. Computer skills necessary.
• Packing and Shipping - help send out thank you gifts after membership drives are over. Requires weekday availability.
• Stuffing Envelopes - we thank everyone! Help stuff those letters, send out invitations and all sorts of other correspondences. Requires weekday availability.
• Reception - help cover the front desk and phones when needed. Requires weekday availability and a friendly voice.
• Full time volunteer positions- we may just have a weekly job for you! If you're interested in taking on a project on an ongoing basis please contact Ty Robertson at 802-654-4309.
