In March of 1938, on the slopes of Mount Mansfield, an organization called the National Ski Patrol was born. The National Ski Patrol is now the largest non-urban rescue organization in the world.

Rick Hamlin is the historian of the National Ski Patrol, he spoke with Vermont Edition about the organization's 75th anniversary.
