Democrats Maintain Big Majorities In Legislature

Vermont Democrats picked up two members in the state House in this week's election and will control 96 seats when they return in January.

Republicans lost three seats and will have 45. There will be five Progressives, which is no change, and four independents.

In the Senate, there will be 20 Democrats, seven Republicans and three Progressives.
