The state of Vermont has received over 100 million dollars from the federal government to help put a consumer-based health care exchange in place over the next year. Two southern Vermont towns are hiring a lobbyist firm to advocate for a system that measures educational spending and evaluates its effects on taxpayers. Police are taking more aggressive measures to combat underage drinking at the University of Vermont.
