This week, beekeepers and bee enthusiasts from 25 states have been meeting in Burlington for the annual Eastern Apicultural Society meeting. The organization is the largest noncommercial beekeeping organization in the United States and one of the largest in the world.

This is the first time in more than 30 years the beekeepers have met in Vermont, much to the excitement of Bill Mares - who is active in the Vermont Beekeepers Association. He spoke with Vermont Edition from the conference at the University of Vermont.
