Officials in Burlington are hoping to persuade Jet Blue to reverse a decision to end its daily non-stop flights between Burlington and Orlando. Last month the airline announced it would cut the non-stop service at the end of November.
Airport officials tell The Burlington Free Press the flights seem popular, and they're trying to understand Jet Blue's reasoning.Among the officials expected to meet with Jet Blue representatives this afternoon are Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger, Secretary of Transportation Brian Searles, and personnel from the offices of Senator Patrick Leahy and Representative Peter Welch.
