The Hopkins Center for the Arts sits in downtown Hanover, N.H., on the Dartmouth College campus.
Dartmouth College has announced a yearlong series of special arts initiatives, to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Hopkins Center's For The Arts
"The Year Of The Arts" begins in September, and will include special performances from artists such as Yo Yo Ma, Wynton Marsalis, and a keynote appearance by actor John Lithgow.
Also during the next year, plans for expansion of the Hopkins Center and the Hood Museum will be announced, and a new Visual Arts center will be unveiled.
VPR's Neal Charnoff talks with Hopkins Center Director Jeff James about what we can expect.
