Claude Mumbere of Burlington High School is Vermont's reigning Poetry Out Loud champion. The competition is a national project supported by the Poetry Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Last night, Claude represented the state at the national competition in Washington D.C., and was awarded second place.
In August of last year, Claude visited the VPR studio to recite "I'm a Fool to Love You" by Cornelius Eady. We listen back to that recitation now.
