The Vermont House voted against a mandate that would require ratepayers to get money back when CVPS is sold.

The Vermont Senate endorsed allowing child care workers to unionize in 2013, and voted to exempt 'cloud computing' by Vermont businesses from the state's sales tax.

Senator Patrick Leahy is optimistic that the new 5-year federal Farm Bill will include several provisions to help small dairy farmers stay in business.

And, a nonpartisan rally - UNITE Women - is planned for Saturday in Montpelier and across all 50 states.
