Burlington mayor-elect Miro Weinberger is celebrating his Tuesday night victory in the Burlington mayor's race, but he'll have his work cut out when he takes the helm April 2.
Democrat Miro Weinberger was elected mayor of Burlington on Town Meeting Day. Weinberger beat his chief opponent, Republican City Councilor Kurt Wright, earning 57 percent of the vote compared to Wright's 37 percent. Independent Wanda Hines took just 5 percent of the vote.
Weinberger talks with VPR's Jane Lindholm, about the race and how he's going to tackle Burlington Telecom and the city's finances.
