Finding Ways To Help Vermont's Bee Population Thrive

Beekeepers in parts of the eastern United States are reporting massive losses this winter.  The Plattsburgh Press-Republican quotes New York's Champlain Valley Beekeepers Association president Dick Crawford as saying that his members have lost up to 90 or even 100% of their hives.

Chaz Mraz is president of the Vermont Beekeepers Association.   He spoke with VPR's Jane Lindholm about the condition of Vermont hives.
