Two Vermont state prison inmates are back in custody after they fled while working outside the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in St. Johnsbury.
Prior to their Thursday morning escape police say 23-year-old Glenn Garvey of Brandon and 25-year-old Nathan Jones of Washington were not considered to be dangerous.
They were reported missing at about 10:30 a.m.
State, local and county law enforcement officers searched for the two with help from a U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter.
They were taken into custody at about 1:15 p.m.
Garvey was in jail for a probation violation stemming from a variety of offenses. Jones was also in jail for a variety of offenses.
They are both now expected to be charged with escape.
