Funding Released To Create New Bus Routes

The Vermont Agency of Transportation has awarded $285,000 to help establish four new bus routes under the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality program.
The Chittenden County Transit Agency received funding to add another run between Burlington and Waterbury. The agency will also share an award with an Addison County transit company to start a route on 116 connecting to Bristol.
A new passage will be established along Route 9 in Southern Vermont between Wilmington and Bennington.
And a transit agency in the Northeast Kingdom also received funding to make service enhancements on a Route 5 shuttle between St. Johnsbury and Lyndonville.
