The Vermont Agency of Transportation says a little more than 1 mile of Route 107 in Stockbridge will close on Sunday.
The road was heavily damaged by Tropical Storm Irene and the closure will enable some final repairs.
The road will be closed for more than one week. The section will be closed to all traffic, including local traffic.
Officials say vehicles will be able to use Blackmer Boulevard to bypass the construction.
Another section of Route 107 in Bethel has remained closed since the storm.
The entire road is expected to reopen in late December.
