(Host) The Vermont Health Department has launched a program to help people who were affected by the floods get mental health counseling.
The Health Department says the services will include short-term support for individuals, groups and communities that had flooding.
Anyone who appears to need more intensive support or treatment will be referred to community services and agencies.
The short-term help is described as "psychological first aid."
There's more information about the assistance on the Health Department's Web site.VPR News
