Sen. Bernie Sanders is going to help mark the opening of a solar power installation at a Vermont middle school.
He will visit the Camels Hump Middle School in Richmond today. He describes the school as one of the greenest public schools in the state.
The 16 kilowatt solar array installed by a Vermont company is expected to generate enough electricity to cover about 25 percent of the school's annual energy use. Sanders helped secure funding for the project.
