Vermont lawmakers will be briefed today on the state's building priorities.
The House and Senate Institutions committees will get a review on where state building projects stood before Tropical Storm Irene hit. They'll also receive status reports on the Vermont State Hospital and state office complex in Waterbury.
Those facilities were flooded during Tropical Storm Irene. The Shumlin administration has been considering whether to renovate some or all of the Waterbury property or move state operations elsewhere.
Already, the governor has said he does not want to reopen the antiquated state hospital, preferring instead to replace it with smaller facilities around Vermont.
