Regional Report: Tracking Damage In The White River Valley
Friday, 09/30/11 7:50am
(Host) An estimated 700 homes around the state were badly damaged, and some even destroyed by flooding from Tropical Storm Irene.
Up to 100 of those were in the White River Valley, and earlier this week on Morning Edition we met Jon Graham and Beth Frock of Rochester, a couple whose house was among those that became a total loss after Irene's devastation. We'll be speaking with Jon and Beth again next week as they have graciously allowed us to check in with them as they struggle to recover.
And there are of course many other media outlets following the stories of people like Jon and Beth, including the Herald of Randolph.
For this week's Friday Regional Report, our weekly update of the stories being covered by regional reporters and editors, we speak with M. Dickey Drysdale, editor of the Herald of Randolph about the heavy damage inflicted by Irene in the White River Valley.
