Vermont's crime lab has reopened after losing power in Tropical Storm Irene.
Unlike the rest of the state office complex in Waterbury, the lab was not flooded.
But officials said it was uninhabitable because it did not have power or clean water.
Lab Director Peg Schwartz told the Burlington Free Press that auxiliary power was used to run the storage units, to preserve evidence.
