Shumlin Backs Disaster Aid Group

Governor Peter Shumlin held a news conference Monday to announce his support for the Vermont Long Term Disaster Recovery Group.
The governor was joined this afternoon by National Life Group Director David Coates, Pastor Bill Elwell, Vermont 211 Director Mary Ellen Mendl and Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster member Laurie Hurdle.
The organization helps Vermont residents recover from losses caused by devastating floods that accompanied the remnants of Hurricane Irene.
