Voices In The Week's News: September 16, 2011

Governor Peter Shumlin announced the members of the state's new Health Board, oral arguments were heard in Entergy's lawsuit against Vermont, Tropical Storm Irene fundraising and re-building efforts took place around the state and Route 4 re-opened in Killington and Mendon.

Irene Fundraising Efforts Spring Up Across State (9/12/11)

Stuart Comstock Gay, director, Vermont Community Foundation) "For many people they say look I really care about Rochester or Waterbury or Chester or you name the town I want to support that particular place or I want to help rebuild Vermont's covered bridges or I want support artists and there are funds really addressing any one of those things if anybody really wants to have a focused gift."

In A Major Milestone, Route 4 Reopens in Killington, Mendon (9/15/11)

This happened because guys were working 24 hours a day to get this done. You have to take your hat off to Vermonters because we roared back. "
