Vermonters looking for hunting licenses are being urged to buy them online or, if they're permanent licenses for residents 65 and older, to get them from the Agency of Natural Resources' office in Barre.
The agency was flooded out of its headquarters in Waterbury when Tropical Storm Irene came through on Aug. 28 and has been working since then to get its services back up and fully operating.
Meanwhile, the agency has been working to assess damage at the flooded fish hatchery in Roxbury and to boat access ramps along flooded waterways.
And it has set up a special flood recovery page on its website, www.anr.state.vt.us , with hazardous waste drop-off locations, guidelines for failed septic systems and other information.
