Power Restoration Nearly Complete
Friday, 09/02/11 7:04pm
The state's largest utility says all but 800 of its customers have their power back after five days of frantic repairs in the aftermath of the storm.
Central Vermont Public Service says getting to the remaining repairs is dependent on road access.
CVPS said today that power has been restored to many customers in Rochester, Pittsfield, Stockbridge, Hancock and Braintree. Overnight, power was also restored to many customers in east Dover and Wardsboro.
Areas of Jamaica are still inaccessible, with about 120 customers isolated.
Most remaining outages are in Windsor, Windham and Orange counties.
