(Host) Vermont's unemployment rate has climbed again.
This is the third consecutive month that it's gone up. The state Department of Labor says the rate for July was 5.7 percent. That's up two-tenths of a percentage point.
This year's rate is still lower than what Vermont saw in July 2010. And it's also lower than the national rate, which is 9.1 percent.
Labor Commissioner Annie Noonan says that among the state's 17 labor-market areas, Hartford had the lowest rate at 3.7 percent.
Newport had the highest at 8.2 percent.
