Growing up in Florida, Eleanor Henderson was drawn to the dark snowy expanses of northern New England. She made her move north as a teenager to become a student at Middlebury College.

Though she no longer lives here, that fascination continues in her debut novel, Ten Thousand Saints, set in the 1980s in Vermont and New York City. The book is getting rave reviews from the likes of the New York Times Review of Books, the LA Times, and the Boston Globe.
