Nearly two weeks after flash flooding ripped through central Vermont, the American Red Cross says there are still about two dozen people living in a shelter in Barre.
Doug Bishop is with the Red Cross, and he says Monday night there were 23 people at the shelter - a spike from the previous night.
(Bishop) "Red Cross continues to do things such as client case work. We are also sending out teams into the neighborhoods in central Vermont to provide food, beverage and cleanup kits to help people who are working to rehab their homes. We're providing jump-start kits with some towels, blankets and a radio in them."
Bishop says the Red Cross wants to assist other organizations coming from out of the area to help with the massive cleanup.
