Straight out of high school, Joe Gittleman was touring with bands. Eventually he reunited with his high school band, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. After years of record deals and live shows, Gittleman moved to Vermont and started sharing some of what he learned on the road.

He's  currently a professor in Lyndon State College's Music Business and Industry program. He says playing in a band gave him strong communication skills. And being on the road provided keen insight into tour managing and merchandising.
