The 77th annual Vermont Farm Show began today in Barre. It's a place where farmers can peruse new farm technology and show off their products. It's also a great place to sample and buy Vermont-made goods.

According to the show's manager, Jon Turmel, it reflects the diversification of agriculture that exists in Vermont. He also says that the fiercest competition annually is to win best in show in the maple syrup category.
