Former state reporter for the Rutland Herald Yvonne Daley is a part-time resident of San Francisco, California—a city known for its far-left political climate and vibrant hippie culture.
Daley teaches journalism at San Francisco State University and has just written a memoir about the city, the disparity between the haves and the have-nots, and the challenges of falling in love with two places separated by 3,000 miles.
It’s called Octavia Boulevard and she spoke with VPR's Peter Biello about it.
