(Host) Vermont National Guard Adjutant General Michael Dubie says an "environmental impact statement" on new fighter jets is on schedule to be released next month.

The Vermont Guard has been tentatively chosen to fly the new F-35 fighter jets.

But there's been a lot of concern among residents around Burlington International Airport about how noisy the jets will be.

Dubie says the environmental impact statement will address the issues that have come up in previous public meetings about the new jets.

(Dubie) "We're quite confident that the information that will come out in this draft we hope will alleviate some of the concerns about the noise."

(Host) Dubie says there will be more public hearings after the new report is released.
