Treasurer Jeb Spaulding says Governor-elect Peter Shumlin's entrepreneurial experience is a good thing for the state.

Speaking with VPR's Jane Lindholm on Vermont Edition, Spaulding said that in the new economy, businesses that are waiting for the good old days to come back are likely to be waiting a long time.  But businesses that realize that are doing better than the ones that are waiting. He says the same thing applies to state government.

He said states led by people with an energetic vision are the ones that will be successful.
