As a guest on Vermont Edition three days after being elected governor, Peter Shumlin addresses some of the top issues he'll face over the next two years.
The governor-elect has eight weeks to fill 60 positions in his administration and to develop a budget that addresses the state's shortfall. He looks at how the state can save in health care and corrections, among other areas.
Shumlin discusses Vermont Yankee's future in light of Entergy's plan to sell the facility. He also sees a strong agricultural future for Vermont based on the quality of food produced here and the availability of water.
