Thursday, 11/04/10 6:06am
The co-founder of Seventh Generation, the Vermont company known for its marketing of environmentally friendly household products, has been removed from the board of directors and is no longer employed by the company.
Officials say that during a September meeting the company's board voted to remove Jeffrey Hollender.
A company spokeswoman says Hollender's removal followed a "very difficult period" that also saw the resignation of a former CEO.
The Burlington Free Press says Hollender's wife, Sheila, remains a board member and an employee of the company.
