Regulators Hold Hearing On Lowell Wind Project
Vermont utility regulators are holding a public hearing on a planned wind farm in Lowell.
Green Mountain Power won the approval of town voters for the 21-turbine project last winter, but now the state Public Service Board must issue a certificate of public good and the meeting is part of that process.
In addition to the 7 p.m. hearing on Thursday at Lowell Graded School, a site tour is planned earlier in the day for anyone who wants to see the location. The tour, which starts at noon, leaves from the Lowell Bowling Alley and will make stops in Lowell, Albany, Eden and Craftsbury.
