Former talk radio host Paul Beaudry has won a three-way
Republican primary race for Vermont's lone seat in the U.S. House of
Representatives.
Beaudry held off former Vermont Marble Co. CEO John M. Mitchell and Springfield businessman Keith Stern in Tuesday's election.
The 47-year-old U.S. Army veteran, who lives in Swanton, stressed deficit reduction, energy self-sufficiency and improved national defense in his campaign for the GOP nomination.
He now faces incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Peter Welch in the Nov. 2 election.
