Last week Vermont's congressional delegation unveiled legislation that they say would help curb a milk surplus and would charge dairy farmers a fee if they produce more than a set amount of milk. The American Farm Bureau has fought against just such an idea for years. But, in a break from tradition, the Vermont Farm Bureau now supports a policy of mandatory supply management. Jackie Folsom is the Vermont Farm Bureau president. She spoke with VPR's Jane Lindholm about the bureau's support of the policy
