A proposed partnership between Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health and CMC Healthcare System has been rejected by the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office. The attorney general says CMC is a charitable religious organization and he calls the proposal a merger that violates the state's laws on charitable trusts. Reporter Garry Rayno of the New Hampshire Union-Leader spoke with VPR's Jane Lindholm about the story.
