A new study says that forest cover is declining throughout New England.  The report calls for the permanent conservation of 70% of New England as forestland within 50 years.  Bill Keeton, a forest scientist with the University of Vermont, is one of the 20 authors of the study.  He spoke with VPR's Jane Lindholm about the report.
