Pam Blair and her husband Gerry live in Ferrisburgh.  They have five children, ranging in age from 20 to 32.  But these days Pam is preoccupied with thoughts of two in particular:  her sons Abe and Zach.  Both are in the Vermont National Guard and both left last week on a deployment that will take them to Afghanistan.  The Blair family has been through this before when the two men were stationed in Iraq and Kuwait.  VPR's Steve Zind spoke with Blair last week about what she's feeling as her sons prepared to ship out again.
