A nuclear waste storage issue at Vermont Yankee is closer to being settled.
Vermont Yankee owner Entergy and the state's Department of Public Service have agreed how to resolve Entergy's failure to monitor dry casks that store nuclear waste at the nuclear plant.
The Brattleboro Reformer says that as part of the agreement, Entergy will install a pair of new radiation monitors at the plant's site boundary. The Public Service Board now must decide whether to approve the agreement.
