Sanders, Officials To Talk About Safety Money

Senator Bernie Sanders is gathering with public safety officials from around Vermont to talk about a big boost in federal funding for first responders.
The Vermont indepenedent plans to gather at 10 a.m. Monday for the announcement with Commissioner of Public Safety Thomas Tremblay, Col. Tom L'Esperance, director of the Vermont State Police, Sheriff Roger Marcoux of Lamoille County, and police chiefs.
The event set for the public safety headquarters in Waterbury is expected to bring word of a big boost in federal funding via earmarks for police and fire agencies.
