Some Vt. flu clinics canceled
Monday, 10/05/09 7:42am
Some Vermont flu shot clinics are being postponed or canceled because of a delay in shipments of the seasonal flu vaccines.
The top five manufacturers of the vaccines are rushing to produce H1N1 vaccines as well as the seasonal flu shot. Officials say the mass production is delaying the shipment of the seasonal flu shots.
The Rutland Herald is reporting that the Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice has canceled 50 private clinics on job sites and at senior-living homes.
The Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice has postponed 25 clinics.
