On Wednesday, September 9, state regulators from Vermont, New Hamphshire, and Maine will hold a joint hearing to question FairPoint Communications executives about the company's ongoing problems.  The hearing happens in Derry, New Hampshire.  Last fall, FairPoint took control of Verizon's assets, and since that time pressure has mounted for FairPoint to improve its service and its finances, or risk being shut down.
