John Kassel to head Conservation Law Foundation

John Kassel is perhaps an
obvious choice to be the new head of the Conservation Law Foundation.
After all, he knows about conservation as a former secretary for the Agency of Natural resources, and has a background in law as a former litigator.
But it's that last resume credit that probably gives some state officials pause. The Conservation Law Foundation has often used litigation or threats of lawsuits to block or delay projects the CLF deemed harmful to Vermont's environment.
John Kassel sat down with us recently to talk about the CLF's future and his plans as its new President. And he wants Vermonters to understand that the CLF has a dual mission that's fundamentally good for the state,
