The passage of same-sex marriage in Vermont could be a boon to tourism in the state, which is already a $1.6 billion business.

The state that invented civil unions is hoping to cash in on its status as the latest to permit same-sex marriage.

At Moose Meadow Lodge in Duxbury, which has hosted nearly 200 civil union celebrations, partners Greg Trulson and Willie Docto plan to reach out to the participants to offer a special package encouraging them to return and get married.
